Six Hours With Terrorists - India´s first One Shot Movie set World Record

The action thriller, directed by Karan Kashyap and produced by Arun S Deddhar (Star Smile Productions) has already been authenticated by officials of the Limca Book of Records on the final day of shoot on January 31.

It now awaits verification from Guinness Book of World Records officials. Preparation for the shoot took 60 days, including 54 days of acting workshop and five days of on-location rehearsals complete with lights, costumes and camera at Neil Villa Bungalow in Vasai, outskirts of Mumbai.

The previous records have been held by Russian film; 'Russian Arc', the duration of which was one hour 38 minutes and British film- 'PVC' for one hour 84 minutes. Indian TV show 'CID' also had a record of 111 minutes on an uncut scene.

To achieve the target, cameraman Vishal Singh used a Sony EX 3- HD digital camera with 2K resolution, weighing around eight KGs. This camera is substantially lighter than regular cameras required for film making and the advantage of using a chip instead of tapes which would have interrupted the shooting. No cameras like a steadycam were used.

Announcing the completion of the shoot here last evening, producer Deddhar said at the time of reading the script it was decided to also go for the record.

''We Indians are capable of setting new records too. Moreover, it's a film that people will want to watch and enjoy too. It will go down well with the younger audiences. We will go for post production work like dubbing and colour correction, and should be ready for release by March 2011,'' he said.

Speaking to UNI, director Karan Kashyap said shooting the film called for excellent coordination with cameraman Vishal Singh, endless rehearsals and lot of running around due to demand of the script.

''The story is more important than the record, and we wanted the film to be technically sound. It was a challenge to shot a film that had no 'cut to' parts. The film is reality based with dark humour and a twist that will shock the audience. We only have one song at the end of the film,'' he said.

world record:-Brampton man to dance 125 hours straight to break world record

4 days into what was supposed to be a 5 day marathon, the 41-year-old Mississauga native had just now found out of a newsperson that he had have to dance an additional 13 hrs or more to break the Guinness world record he's later.

Joachim planned to dancing for one hundred ten hrs to break a 108-hour record set in 2008. But in Sep of this yr, Kalamandalam Hemaletha danced endlessly as 123 hrs and fifteen mins in India, adjusting the bar more than thirteen hrs above Joachim’s goal.

Joachim did not check recent online records for the longer individual dance marathon title on Guinness’s web web site earlier busting his 1st move. The site was cut down when he checked out, he said.

But he rapidly retrieved from the setback. This is, later all, a man who crawled fifty-six kms on his knees back in 2001 to make it into the almanac.

It will mean finish his attempt at 1:20 p.m. on New yrs Day. The theatre and the City of Brampton are sponsoring his newest record-breaking endeavour.

“God made this world. I accept both matters — failure and winner,” said Joachim.

Joachim’s wife made the soundtrack for his quest. The same 5 CDs of pop music and Tamil tracks rotate all 4 hrs or so, as the dancing man dances on, and on, and on. And on.

Mostly, he shuffles his feet side to side. When cameras are trained on Joachim, lifts his arms with more oomph.

Joachim has broken sixty-three world records in all, admitting having the most groomsmen in his wedding — 47; the quickest mile crawling — 23 mins and 45 secs; and the most apples bobbed in one min — 22.

Although most of those records have since been broken, Joachim still holds sixteen titles, admitting one for the farthest distance on foot later he ran 2.171 miles an hr for 1,000 hrs in 1996.

A Sri Lankan immigrant who came here in 2003, Joachim broke his 1st record on Canadian soil that yr by DJing at a Tamil radio station in Scarborough for 120 hrs.

He even held this especial dance title in the past. He 1st broke the record back in 2005.

He could still reclaim the title this time around. A spokesperson in Guinness’s NY office, who spoke to Joachim on the phone later he received the bad news, affirmed that he's yet qualified to adjust afresh record as long as he keeps dancing.

“Should he surpass this record and turn in each demanded documentation, he will have broken the record,” told Guinness spokesperson Sara Wilcox in an email.

That should not be a problem for Joachim, who's assistants working in shifts to document the songs that he dances to and while he takes breaks, which he is permitted to do for 5 mins every hr.

One assistant, Julia Regner, held a log book so theatre employees and anybody coming in off the street could sign as witnesses. Guinness will too consider pictures and video footage.
